Beloved local sculptor Jack Hastings died in his Sewanee Deepwoods art studio on Wednesday. He was 87.
Hastings' work had been commissioned to many Tennessee public facilities, including Nashville International Airport, where his mobile "Dancing on Air" still hangs, and TVA headquarters in Chattanooga.
Together with his partner of 53 years, fiber artist Arlyn Ende, he wove a tapestry of work that inspired and fascinated other artists and art lovers.
