FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. - Investigators say they have charged a 36-year-old man with hit-and-run in a wreck in Fountain Inn that killed a 75-year-old woman riding on a golf cart.

Authorities said Janice Patterson died and three other people on the cart were hurt in the collision Friday evening. Patterson was from Johnson City, Tenn., and was visiting family in South Carolina.

Investigators say the cart was hit from behind. They say the cart's front and back lights were on and it had a slow-moving vehicle tag.

Police say they arrested James Bloodworth II several hours after the wreck after getting a call from his family. It wasn't known if he had an attorney.
