Actor, singer and songwriter Dwight Yoakam is scheduled to perform Oct. 3 at Track 29.
While known as a country music artist, Yoakam's penchant for more traditional honky-tonk music never really fit into the Nashville scene, so he moved to Los Angeles. His outsider attitude helped him earn fans in the punk and rock scenes as well as the alt-country genre.
Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 the day of the show. Doors open at 7 p.m., and music starts at 8 p.m. The show is 18 and older.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at www.track29.co, 423-521-2929 and the club's box office at 1400 Market St.
