KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Knoxville police have identified a body found in a field as that of a homeless man who had been arrested 92 times.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reported the body was that of 45-year-old Rodney Deon Trigg.

Police spokesman Darrell DeBusk said Trigg apparently died of medical problems. His body was found July 16.

Court records show 73 of Trigg's 92 arrests were for public intoxication. None were for violent offenses. Nine were for entering a convenience store where he had been banned for eating food he couldn't pay for.

Police said Trigg came to Knoxville from Texas and had been in the city for several years. His first arrest was in 2006. His last one came a week before he was found dead.
