Good Samaritans stop to help man in ditch, car stolen at gunpoint

Some Chattanooga motorists had their car stolen when they stopped to help a young man lying in a ditch.

Three other males with handguns stole their car and fled the scene, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

The incident happened around 12:42 a.m. Wednesday in the 7200 block of Igou Gap Road.

The four suspects were located in the car by patrol officers in the 3500 block of Ridgeside Road and arrested on the charge of carjacking.
