Dr. Bill Moore-Smith, a family and sport medicine physician who has practiced in Chattanooga for more than 23 years, has taken an expanded leadership role with the Erlanger Health System.
He has been named to lead, develop and grow the adult primary care services at Erlanger Health System, according to President and CEO, Kevin M. Spiegel.
He will be involved in recruiting new and graduate physicians into Erlanger’s existing and start-up primary care offices, Spiegel said.
He also will see patients at his Pineville Road and Lookout Mountain locations and continue to serve on the teaching faculty of the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.
Smith earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis and served his family practice residency at the University of Virginia Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va.
He received his sports medicine education at the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech and University of Tennessee Athletic Departments.
