Chattanooga police have identified the motorcyclist who died in a Rossville Blvd. crash last night as 27-year-old Christopher Smith.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of Rossville Blvd. Smith was pronounced dead on the scene.
Witness statements and evidence at the scene show that Smith was headed northbound when he lost control and struck a concrete sign, police said in a news release.
There was possibly another motorcyclist that was racing with Smith who has not yet been located, police said in the release. Anyone with information on the other motorcyclist is asked to call police at 423-698-2525.
