Chattanooga Lookouts win 6-1, take series at Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. - Pitchers Ross Stripling, Kyle Cofield and Yimi Garcia combined to allow six hits as Chattanooga bounced back from two one-run losses Monday night to defeat the Jackson Generals 6-1 and claim the Southern League series three games to two.

The Lookouts (32-33) struck for three runs in the first inning, with Joc Pederson collecting an RBI double to left field and Brian Cavazos-Galvez an RBI single to center. They scored three again in the fifth when Angelo Songco doubled to center, Rafael Ynoa doubled to left, scoring Songco, and Miguel Rojas followed with a home run to left.

Game one of a five-game series in Huntsville will be Thursday night at 7:43 EDT. Zach Lee (5-2, 2.62 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts.
