Stars start Lookouts series with 3-1 win

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Huntsville Stars defeated the Chattanooga Lookouts 3-1 in the first game of their Southern League baseball series Thursday night.

Kentrail Davis went 3-for-4 and was a triple shy of the cycle in leading Huntsville to victory.

The Stars jumped on Chattanooga starting pitcher Zach Lee when Davis hit a two-run home run to right-center field in the first inning. The Lookouts (32-34) pulled within 2-1 in the fourth on Brian Cavazos-Galvez's single to right that scored Miguel Rojas, but the Stars regained a two-run lead in the eighth when Davis doubled to right and scored on a Jason Rogers single.

The series continues tonight at 7:43 EDT with Chris Reed (2-5, 4.13) as Chattanooga's scheduled starting pitcher and Ariel Pena (5-4, 3.00) scheduled for the Stars.
