An 18-wheeler truck carrying calves overturned on Highway 153 near Hamill Road blocking the northbound lanes for several hours Thursday, according to Chattanooga police.
The driver of another vehicle involved was transported to a hospital just after 7:20 p.m., said Chattanooga Police Traffic Sgt. David Gibb. He didn't have any information on the truck's driver.
It's unclear what caused the crash.
None of the calves was thrown from the trailer, but several died inside, he said.
