Hathcock joins Mullinax

Dr. Lindsay Hathcock, a Cleveland, Tenn., native and former chiropractor, has joined the sales team at Mullinax Lincoln Automotive.

He has served Cleveland for 25 years as a chiropractic physician, and begins his second career in the sales department at Mullinax, according to a news release. Following an injury and surgery that marked the close of his service as a chiropractor, Hathcock began the search for new opportunity to serve Cleveland.

Cindy Mullinax Castelow, the dealership's general manager, said that since Hathcock began a few weeks ago, "he has successfully worked with several customers to meet and exceed their automotive needs."


9 pass CPA exam

The Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants recently recognized nine Chattanooga area candidates who passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination.

Successful candidates are Natalie J. Aquino, Alicia K. Eldridge, Ashley G. Finch, Erin M. Hawkins and Chelsea D. Tackett of Chattanooga; Tuyet Phuong T. Mai and Cara M. Neighbors of Hixson; Joshua T. Hicks, of Ooltewah; and Christopher Butler, of Soddy-Daisy.

Upon passing the exam, they were inducted as members of TSCPA and its Chattanooga chapter. The Chattanooga chapter is one of eight across the state and has more than 1,000 members in 10 Chattanooga-area counties.


Preferred Care gets new office

After opening its doors three years ago as part of the Chattanooga- Hamilton County Business Development Center, Preferred Care at Home has graduated from the program and acquired new office space downtown.

Preferred Care at Home's new office is in the Carpenters Commons Building at 518 Georgia Ave. It is a home care agency that specializes in providing customized daily assistance to seniors, enabling clients to maintain their safety and independence in the home of their choosing.

John L. Kerns, owner and president of Preferred Care at Home, said the new office will better allow it to deliver "the compassionate and reliable care for which we have become known."


Claws and Paws hits the road

Claws and Paws, a mobile veterinary service, has started up in the Chattanooga area.

Dr. Shannon Dawkins said basic vet care services can be done at home and is available not just for dogs and cats but birds, reptiles, rabbits, chinchillas and amphibians.

She said the service is not emergency veterinary care. Primarily, it's designed to provide yearly required inoculations, heartworm tests and diagnose and treat non-life threatening illnesses and conditions, including behavior and nutritional counseling. Dawkins maintains a working arrangement with Dr. Colleen Smith and the Chattanooga Holistic Animal Institute so that in some cases animals can be treated in a clinic if it's determined they require it.


Findley named at Life Care

Life Care Center of Hixson, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, has selected Molly Findley as director of nursing.

Before stepping into this leadership role, Findley served as director of nursing at Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center in Spring City, Tenn. A registered nurse since 1979, she has 19 years of intensive care experience and 13 years of long-term care experience.

She has also worked in education, staff development and wound care in Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia and Colorado.

Findley and her husband, Mike, are moving to the area from Evensville, Tenn. They have four grown children.


Sutton joins Life Care in Red Bank

Life Care Physician Services LLC, a subsidiary of Life Care Centers of America, recently placed Dr. Joel Trent Sutton as on-site physician at Life Care Center of Red Bank.

Sutton was hired as part of Life Care Centers of America's initiative to have physicians in each of its buildings.

In his new position, Sutton will work with the facility's interdisciplinary team, medical director and other attending physicians in caring for each patient.

Sutton most recently served as a hospitalist at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Sutton currently lives in Ooltewah with his wife, Catherine, and their two sons.


2 part of Dynamic Decals & Graphics

Gabby Craig and Tammy King have joined the management team at Dynamic Decals & Graphics as product managers for the decal and graphics company located on Adams Road in Hixson.

Craig will be managing Dynamic's propane and rental store customers while King will be managing the liquid and solid waste customer base.

Dynamic Decals & Graphics sells digital and screen printed graphics nationally, said John Langworthy, company president.


3H Group Hotels win awards

A pair of local hotels with Chattanooga-based 3H Group Hotels Inc. were recognized at the Marriott General Manager's Conference.

The Residence Inn Chattanooga near Hamilton Place won the Platinum Hotel Award, Maintenance & Upkeep Award and Breakfast Award.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Chattanooga South East/Ridge won the Gold Hotel Award and Guest Letter Mention Award.
