Body of man pulled from submerged vehicle in Alabama identified

CENTRE, Ala. - Authorities say one of three bodies pulled from a vehicle that was submerged in a northeast Alabama lake has been identified.

Cherokee County officials say 41-year-old Bobby DeWayne Hyatt, of Piedmont, was pulled from a vehicle found upside down last Thursday in Weiss Lake.

The bodies of two other passengers - an unidentified man and woman - have been sent to the Department of Forensic Sciences in Huntsville for autopsies.

Authorities say a fisherman discovered the submerged vehicle and the victims' deaths are being investigated as a traffic accident.
