Denise Marie McGathey, 35, of Crossville, Ala., has been arrested by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office on drug charges.
She was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff Jimmy Harris said the arrest occurred after officers went to her home on County Road 370 as they were doing a follow-up to a recent burglary in Crossville.
In addition to finding the alleged drugs and drug paraphernalia, the officers found a large assortment of knives and coins at the home.
A news release said efforts are being made to locate the owners of the knives and coins.
