ROCKWOOD - The parents of a 2-year-old boy found playing alone on railroad tracks wearing only a diaper were arrested Monday and charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect.

Rahab Jaramillo, 24, and Jonathan Noah White, 30, both of Rockwood, remained in the Roane County Jail on Tuesday.

A witness saw the infant Saturday afternoon on the tracks behind Dollar General Store on Gateway Avenue and removed him shortly before a train came through, according to Rockwood Police Department Officer Josh Coffey's report.

Coffey said he learned where Jaramillo lived, went to her residence on North Front Street and met with the child's grandmother, Darlene Hill, 48.
