Chattanooga announces some streets to be closed for events

Chattanooga's traffic engineering office has announced that some streets will be closed for events over the next couple of days.

A news release said M.L. King Boulevard between Market Street and Georgia Avenue and Market Street between East Eighth Street and King Boulevard will be closed on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to midnight for the Nightfall Concert Series. The 800 block of Cherry Street will be closed at King Boulevard and will only be accessible from East Eighth Street.

The release said Aquarium Way from northbound Broad Street to Market Street, West Eighth Street between Broad and Market streets, the southbound curb lane of Market Street from Aquarium Way to Eighth Street, and the northbound curb lane of Broad Street from Eighth Street to Aquarium Way, will be closed on Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to midnight for the Market Street Mile Run.

Reggie White Boulevard between West 19th Street and the entrance to the Skate Park will be closed on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the Chattanooga Market.
