3 family members killed in Arkansas car crash

MARION, Ark. — Arkansas State Police say three members of a Gosnell (GAHZ’-null) family — including a 2-year-old — were killed and a fourth member was injured in a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 55 near Marion.

A state police report says 2-year-old Brinley McGuire, 26-year-old Jessica McGuire and 26-year-old Nicholas McGuire died Saturday afternoon when the sport utility vehicle driven by Nicholas McGuire crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer. The report says 6-year-old Cadence McGuire was taken to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn., about 10 miles away.

Her condition was not released.

The report says the SUV crashed into the rear of the tractor-trailer that was stopped because of traffic at a construction zone on the interstate. The semi then hit a third vehicle.

No one in the semi or third vehicle was injured.
