Chapman Development helps a customer clean up and make repairs after a storm.

Whether it’s working from the ground up on a new construction or a complete restoration project, the team at Chapman Development is all about keeping things clean.

Cleanup is a part of every project the business takes on, and it’s something employees strive to do with excellence, said owner Christy Chapman.

“Our services include water damage restoration, water extraction, sewage cleanups, basement drying, dehumidification, odor control, debris removal, tree removal and more,” she said.

For water damage to property, the process begins with Chapman professionals taking care of any water removal and extracting any damaged structural items. A mildecide, antifungal or antimicrobial agent is then used depending on the water source, Chapman explained.

“Finally we deal with the proper drying and dehumidifying of carpets, wood floors, ceilings, walls, basement and crawl spaces,” she added. For tree removal, Chapman experts come out to the site first to assess the damage. They check for any electrical hazards that could be a factor in removing the tree and any other debris.

“If the tree is over pole-to-pole electric wires, we contact the electric company and have them remove any portions of the tree that are over the wires,” Chapman explained. “If the tree is over your electric service line that extends to your house, we schedule for the electric company to disconnect this line the day we are coming out to remove the tree.”

From there, workers decide what equipment and size crew is needed to do the job in the most efficient and safe way. They can often use a bucket truck or Bobcat, if access allows, to work on the tree in question. If the situation calls for it, Chapman workers can use a rope and saddle to climb the tree and rig it down safely.

“Oftentimes we will use rigging techniques to bring down branches and/or logs in a safe and controlled manner,” Chapman said. “Once the limbs are on the ground, we will cut them up with chain saws and load them up to haul away.”

She added that the company provides these cleanup services to most local counties and surrounding areas. If there’s a service Chapman cannot provide, staff will refer clients to one of their local and trusted subcontractors to get people the help they need.

“Our team of professionals is trained to repair any situation quickly and effectively,” Chapman said. “We strive to serve our customers with immediate response and value their time and business. Our main goal is to be there in their time of need. Our dependable and courteous service, efficient experience and training are just part of what sets us apart from the other restoration companies.”

Statistics can be dull, and they almost never paint a complete picture of a topic. But they can also be a vital source of support in showing that a business is working.
If you haven’t heard of GreenForm yet, chances are you will soon. In just a few years, it has grown from a few friends with a roofing company to a full-fledged construction, roofing and solar business with around a dozen full-time employees and multiple subcontractors.
As the second largest Xerox and office copier dealer in the country, XMC, Inc. never runs low on things to brag about. But right now, the company is particularly proud of its completely redeveloped website,, which launched Sept. 1 of this year.
When it comes to feeling safe in your home or workplace, there’s nothing more important.
