East Ridge police searching for someone who beat a man in the head

East Ridge police are looking for someone who beat a man Thursday morning.

Officers received a call at 8:30 a.m. reporting a traumatic head injury at 5307 B Marion Avenue. When they got there, according to a news release, police found 33-year-old Craig Garrett sitting in the backyard. Several cuts covered his head, including an open wound on his forehead.

Garrett could not communicate with first responders. But members of Emergency Medical Services and East Ridge Fire Rescue treated Garrett at the scene and drove him to the Erlanger Medical Center ER.

Officers still don’t know who did this. They are also trying to find Garrett’s 2007 blue Ford pickup. Its license plate number is 47027U.

Anyone with information can call East Ridge police at 423-622-1725. You can also call a confidential tip line at 423-867-0016.
