Former Baylor School golfer Brooke Pancake shoots 74 in U.S. Women's Open

SOUTHHAMPTON, N.Y. — Former Baylor School golfer Brooke Pancake is tied for 52nd at 2-over-par 74 after the first round of the U.S. Women's Open at Sebonack Golf Club. The LPGA Tour rookie is eight strokes off the lead set by playing competitor Ha-Neui Kim.

Pancake's afternoon round included two bogeys on the back nine, where she began, and two birdies and a double bogey on her closing nine holes. The former Alabama All-American will begin her second round this morning at 8:46 at hole No. 1.
