Mayor to give last speech

Outgoing Mayor Ron Littlefield will give his final State of the City address on Monday.

"I plan to reflect on the past eight years," he said in a news release. "Serving as mayor is a humbling experience, and I want to thank the community for their support through the years. We have accomplished a lot of things; some not popular but necessary in the continued good governance of any municipality."

He will speak at 6 p.m. at the Memorial Auditorium, at 399 McCallie Ave. His presentation is free and open to the public.

Lawyer Stinnett on disability status

The Tennessee Supreme Court ruled to place Hamilton County lawyer Jeffrey A. Stinnett on disability inactive status, according to a news release.

The court's decision was made per section 21 of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9.

Stinnett cannot practice law while on disability inactive status, the release said. The court will reinstate Stinett's law license once he has proven that the disability has been removed and he is capable of resuming his practice.
