As a prelude to its annual Youth Expo on the second Saturday of April, Cumberland Artisans for Creative Expression will sponsor a preliminary exhibit at several locations in Crossville, Tenn.
• Art Circle Public Library, 3 East St., will display 31 artworks in March and April: eight from Cumberland County High School students (teacher Annette Saldana), eight from South Cumberland Elementary School students (teacher Jenny Scarbrough), seven from Brown Elementary School students (teacher Gwen Tayse) and eight from Crab Orchard Elementary students (teacher Nathan Markham).
• Shanks Center for the Arts, 140 N. Main St., will display 12 works during March and April: four from North Cumberland Elementary School students (teacher Tristessa Howard) and eight from Pleasant Hill Elementary School (teacher Lisa Hill).
• Palace Theatre, 72 S. Main St., will display 16 works in March only: eight from Pine View Elementary School students (teacher Nathan Markham) and eight from Stone Elementary School students (teacher Shannon Torrey). During April, these pieces will move to the Shanks Center for the Arts.
Although not participating in the preliminary exhibit, Martin Elementary School, Homestead Elementary School and Stone Memorial High School students will be exhibiting art during the CACE Youth Expo, set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 13 at the Community Complex fairgrounds.
