ATLANTA - Atlanta police say they're searching for suspects after finding at least 250 marijuana plants growing inside a home.

Atlanta police Officer John Chafee said an irrigation system had been set up to hydrate the plants, which had an estimated value of about $500,000.

Police said officers discovered the plants on Sunday, while responding to an unrelated 911 call in the area of Telford Terrace in southwest Atlanta. Officers noticed the odor of marijuana and determined the smell was coming from 3228 Telford Terrace.

A search was later conducted, and police said investigators were in the process of obtaining arrest warrants for suspects.
