Chattanooga area high school standouts from March 19

• Ashlynn Johnson, Polk County: She went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs as Polk defeated McMinn Central 19-3 in a three-inning District 5-AA softball game.

• Liana Rodrigues, Arts & Sciences: She threw a four-hitter with 13 strikeouts and the Class A Lady Patriots beat Baylor, winner of the last two Division II-AA state championships, 8-0.

• Alexis Moore, East Ridge: She was 3-for-4 with three doubles and two RBIs in the Lady Pioneers' 10-2 five-inning victory over Cleveland. She also was the winning pitcher, allowing three hits and striking out seven.

• Bri Leffew, Silverdale Baptist Academy: She had two of the Lady Seahawks' five hits, drove in two runs and scored another in an 18-0 three-inning win over Notre Dame.

• Katie Hass, Boyd-Buchanan: She went 3-for-4 with four RBIs in Boyd-Buchanan's 14-9 defeat of Red Bank.

• Sydney Poe, Chattanooga Christian: She struck out four and knocked in three runs as CCS topped Signal Mountain, 16-6.

• Bayley Nunley, Meigs County: With a home run, a double and three RBIs, she paced a 5-3 victory over Kingston.

• Lydia Ritchie, Bledsoe County: She struck out 11 and allowed one hit as the Lady Warriors downed Hixson 11-0 in six innings.

• Alex Smith, Grace Academy: She went 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs as the Lady Golden Eagles defeated Copper Basin 14-2 in a District 5-A game.

• Riley Long, Whitwell: The Lady Tigers defeated South Pittsburg 10-1 in a District 6-A game behind her three-hitter that included seven strikeouts.

• Reid Smith, Boyd-Buchanan: He went 2-for-3 and scored two runs in a 5-1 baseball win over Notre Dame.

• Austin Morris, Heritage: He gave up four hits and earned the pitching win in a 3-1 defeat of LaFayette.

• Hunter Brown, Grundy County: He went 3-for-5, but the Yellow Jackets fell to White County in 10 innings, 6-5.

• Matty Henshaw, East Hamilton: Pitching a complete game in a 5-1 win over Hixson, he struck out nine and allowed four hits.

• Reid Clements, Silverdale Baptist Academy: He pitched a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts as the Seahawks beat Copper Basin 4-0 in a District 5-A game.

• Tanner Buchanan, McCallie: His 3-for-4 performance included a home run and two RBIs, and the Blue Tornado whipped Polk County 13-3 in five innings.

• Kameren Barnes, Walker Valley: He struck out nine as the winning pitcher when the Mustangs defeated Rhea County 9-1 in a District 5-AAA game.

• Jacob Fowler, Bradley Central: He was 3-for-5 and scored four runs in the Bears' 11-5 District 5-AAA win over Soddy-Daisy.

• Dakota Hudson, Sequatchie County: His six-inning no-hitter in a 10-0 victory over Marion County included 11 strikeouts.

• Hagen Wilkey, Red Bank: He was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts in the first game and went 4-for-4 with two homers, two triples and eight RBIs in the second game of a District 6-AA sweep of Howard.

• Clark Marshall, Chattanooga Christian: He scored three goals and also had an assist in the Chargers' 7-0 soccer victory over Sequatchie County.

• Tyler Robertson, Notre Dame: He had two goals and two assists as the Fighting Irish coasted past Bledsoe County 10-0.

• Javier Medina, Calhoun: He netted a hat trick as the soccer Yellow Jackets trounced Morris Innovative, 8-0.

• Selena Popp, Baylor: The Lady Red Raiders won a four-way track and field meet with Popp finishing first in the high jump, triple jump, 100 dash and 300 hurdles.

• Jackson Wallin, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe: He won the triple jump, long jump and 400 meters but Baylor took the boys' track meet over LFO, Chattanooga Christian and St. Andrew's-Sewanee.
