'Pathways Through Town' exhibit continues at Chickamauga Public Library

A painting of the Park Hotel, which once stood in Chickamauga, Ga., is part of the historical exhibit "Pathways Through Time" on view at the Chickamauga Public Library, 306 Cove Road.

Due to popular interest, library officials have extended the exhibit through April 20. The display examines landmarks and events in the town between 1820 and 1899, including the arrival of the railroad, the typhoid epidemic and economic growth from mining.

Library hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.
