A week after helping the United States earn the silver medal in the world team tournament at the same location, Wesley Cash of Chattanooga and Mark Vines of Lynchburg, Va., won the ITF Seniors individual championship for men's 55 doubles Saturday in Antalya, Turkey. Seeded second, they won 6-4, 6-3 in the final against seventh-seeded Mike Tammen of Portland, Ore., and Dan Waldman of Washington, D.C., who earlier beat the Nos. 1 and 3 seeds. Cash, a Manker Patten Tennis Club teaching pro, and Vines won the "golden slam" of four USTA national titles in 2012. "I felt I played my best tennis in the finals," Cash said by text. "I was much more relaxed [than in the semifinals] and brought my A-plus game. Winning today's final is very much a dream that has come true." He is ranked third in the world in doubles; Vines is 10th.

Golf

• Former McCallie School and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga golfer Bryce Ledford shot a final-round 66 Saturday and won the eGolf Tour's Championship at St. James Plantation in Southport, N.C. Ledford's 6-under-par 282 edged runner-up Travis Ross from Crookston, Minn., by two strokes and earned the 28-year-old Chattanooga resident $18,000. This was the fifth of 24 events on the 2013 eGolf Tour schedule. Ledford shared the midpoint lead after a 71-68 but faltered with a 77 Friday. "After the second round, I practiced for about two hours," he said in a release. "To be honest, I was pretty worn out yesterday and somewhat ran out of gas there on the back nine. I birdied the first hole today, and that was a big momentum swinger. Unfortunately I three-putted No. 2 for bogey but made birdies on Nos. 4 and 9 to get back in it."

Running

• UTC senior Nathan Wanuch edged Georgia State's Valentin Poncelet in a photo finish at 14:42.54 for the 5000-meter victory at the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Invitational track and field meet Saturday in Atlanta. UTC's Amanda Sumner was fourth in the women's 1500, and the Mocs' Blake Olson and Iman Isang were fifth and eighth in the 400 hurdles. Taylor Hawk was eighth in the 3000 steeplechase.

Baseball

• The Chattanooga State baseball team, which moved up to 18th in the NJCAA Division I poll this past week, plays its annual exhibition game against the Chattanooga Lookouts on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. at AT&T Field. The Lookouts open their season Thursday night at home against Huntsville, beginning a five-game series.

• Tyler Latham's grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning gave Bryan College an 8-4 win Saturday and a two-games-to-one triumph in its Appalachian Athletic Conference baseball series with Union College. Kevin Layne was 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs for Bryan (18-16, 6-9), and Cody Rhinehart was 2-for-4 and scored a run. Zach Dillman and Nelson Price each was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Union (20-15, 7-8), which won Friday's second game 3-1 on LaVance Anderson's three-run fifth-inning homer off otherwise stalwart L.J. Rowden. Latham had the Lions' RBI.

• Freshman Perry Rigby's three-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Covenant to a 6-5 win over Emory in the first game of their NCAA Division III baseball doubleheader Saturday on Lookout Mountain, but the Atlanta team won the second game 8-1. Rigby had four RBIs and Will Cleland and David Lockwood each was 2-for-4 in the victory for the Scots (18-5), and Jonah Paul got the pitching win with two innings of hitless relief. Chris Rollins was 2-for-3 with an RBI double in the loss.

• Leadoff batter Brady Renner went 3-for-4 with an RBI, Jordan Stewart homered and Clint Terry (5-1) and three relievers combined for a six-hit shutout as Lee University completed a three-game Southern States baseball sweep at Loyola in New Orleans with a 10-0 win Saturday. Stewart, Mark Silva and Brandon Rader each had two hits and two RBIs for Lee, ranked No. 1 in the NAIA, while Corey Davis was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

• Hendrix College beat Sewanee 5-0 and 5-1 in Southern Athletic Association baseball Friday in Conway, Ark., and Saturday's game was rained out. Sewanee (6-17) had five and four hits in the Friday games, when Michael Walker batted in James Snover for the run.

Lacrosse

• Reed Daniel scored three goals and Michael Morris had four assists with two goals as Sewanee thrashed Millsaps 16-1 in SAA men's lacrosse Saturday. Drew Lincoln and John Stiefel also scored two goals each for the Tigers (9-2, 4-0).
