For six weeks each summer, experienced singers from the Chattanooga area combine with UTC graduate students to form the UTC Master Chorale.

Auditions for this summer's chorale will begin Sunday and continue through Friday, says Dr. Kevin Ford. Rehearsals will begin Thursday, May 16, and continue on Tuesday and Thursday nights until June 20.

The chorale was founded nine years ago to offer a graduate-level chorus for master's degree students who attend college primarily in the summer. It is open to community members who are experienced singers and can read music.
