Black Creek names Jones
Black Creek Mountain, a resort-style community located in Chattanooga, has chosen Ben Jones as the Black Creek Club's new general manager.
The Black Creek Club offers upscale amenities featuring a state-of-the-art golf course, tennis courts, a cascading pool, sports complex, nature trails and clubhouse including fine dining, men's grille, fitness center and lounge.
Black Creek Club consistently ranks within the top 10 golf courses in Tennessee by Golf Digest.
Jones, who has been awarded a certified club manager by the Club Manager Association of America, has over 35 years of experience in hospitality management.
Phillips joins Hutton Co.
Matthew Phillips has joined Hutton Co. as director of real estate.
He will be charged with managing the development of shopping centers in the Hutton pipeline, as well as sourcing new shopping center projects.
He has worked for the past six years as a development project manager and director of sustainability for CBL & Associates Properties Inc.
"Matt will have a tremendous impact on our ability to deliver great service to our retail clients and provide them with first-class shopping environments." said Geoff Smith, president of Hutton.
Two Erlanger physicians attain certification
Erlanger Health System has announced that Dr. Arslan Kahloon and Dr. Laurie-Anne C. Swaby have been awarded board certification in the subspecialty of gastroenterology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Both are board-certified in internal medicine and practice with academic gastroenterology at the Erlanger Baroness Campus.
To become certified in the subspecialty of gastroenterology, physicians must be previously certified in internal medicine by ABIM and pass the gastroenterology certification examination.
Kahloon earned his medical degree at the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan.
Swaby earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York.
Scotchie gets Circle recognition
Jimmy Scotchie, a financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial, has qualified for the company's 2012 Circle of Success annual recognition program.

Bealer wins LifeCare award
Betsy Bealer, executive secretary for the legal department of Life Care Centers of America, has been named the company's Administrative Professional of the Year for 2013.
Bealer has been a Life Care associate for six years. She has worked in Life Care's corporate compliance department as well as in the legal department. During the presentation, she was praised for her good customer service, moral support of her co-workers and dedication to serving on various financial distribution committees for the United Way of Bradley County.
"God's given me a heart to serve people, and I just love doing that," she said.
Founded in 1976, Life Care is a nationwide health care company that operates or manages more than 220 nursing, post-acute and Alzheimer's centers in 28 states.
