Chattanooga State Technical Community College will host the seventh annual Elementary Science and Math Olympiad sponsored by Tennessee American Water on Friday, May 10.

The event will offer third, fourth and fifth grade students in Hamilton County an opportunity to learn math and science by using hands-on experiments such as “Pond Study” and “Save Our Earth," according to a news release.

The event has grown from 300 student participants in 2007 to over 600 participants last year, the release stated.

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with lunch and awards following in the gymnasium.
