The Chattanooga Lookouts are no longer 0-for-May.

Starting pitcher Zach Lee allowed just three hits in six innings Tuesday night at AT&T Field as the Lookouts blanked Mobile 3-0. The victory snapped a six-game losing streak for Chattanooga, which improved to 12-19 on the season.

After opening this month by getting swept in Birmingham, Lookouts manager Jody Reed told his team to get as far away from baseball as possible during Monday's day off.

"I did laundry and went to Walmart and did some housekeeping," Reed said. "I did anything but think about baseball, and I told our players on Sunday's bus ride home to put those 30 games behind us and to think of ways we can get better. I told them to take a day away from baseball and to come back ready to play."

The Lookouts struck for two runs in the third inning, when Rafael Ynoa's one-out walk was followed by Joc Pederson's infield hit. Following a double steal, Ynoa scored on a Yasiel Puig groundout and Pederson came home on an Andrew Chaffin wild pitch.

Griff Erickson doubled to center field in the seventh inning and scored on an error to make it 3-0.

"There was frustration on our bus ride home, and there should have been," Reed said. "This is an emotional team, and one of my main objectives is to make sure we stay upbeat. It's a long season, and you have to stay positive in this game."

Chris Reed (1-2, 4.41 ERA) is the Lookouts' scheduled starting pitcher for this morning's 11:15 game, with Archie Bradley (1-0, 1.50) scheduled for the BayBears.
