Jim Foster, who spent the past 11 seasons at Ohio State, has been hired as the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball coach, new UTC athletic director David Blackburn announced via Twitter today.

Foster has 783 career wins, he led Vanderbilt to the Final Four in 1993 and went 279-82 during his time leading the Buckeyes. Foster led the Buckeyes to 10 straight NCAA tournaments before going 18-13 in 2012-13.

Ohio State won six straight Big Ten titles from 2005-10 and he was named the Big Ten coach of the year four times. Foster will be inducted into the women's basketball Hall of Fame on June 8, in Knoxville.

Foster replaces Wes Moore, who left UTC last month for North Carolina State.
