Lauren Alaina's performance of her new single, "Barefoot and Buckwild" on Thursday night's episode of "American Idol" helped boost the song into iTunes' country Top 20 overnight.

The new single was released Tuesday and climbed to No. 26 by day's end on the country digital downloads chart. It is now ranked No. 18.

The national exposure also helped the Rossville singer crack iTunes Top 100 for all genres, which she did not chart on during Tuesday's release. She is No. 71 on that Top 100.
