Scenic Highway has reopened after an afternoon vehicle crash on Lookout Mountain blocked blocked part of the road between Linear Lane and Military Road.

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. near 1001 South Scenic Highway when a red pickup truck ran off the road.

Jimmy Hillis, floor supervisor for Hamilton County 911, said the Chattanooga Fire Department and EMS responded.

Hillis said injuries had been reported with entrapment. Extrication units were used to free the victim.

No information on the condition or identity of the victim was available Sunday night.
