Chattanooga won its third straight game by pelting Pensacola for 13 hits, with Rafael Ynoa, Joc Pederson, Brian Cavazos-Galvez and Chris Jacobs collecting two hits apiece in a 10-4 win Sunday.
Pederson went 2-for-4 to improve his sizzling average to .351.
Jacobs hit a two-run home run to left, his first homer this season, in the third inning as the Lookouts (15-21) built a 4-0 lead, but the Blue Wahoos pulled within 5-4 entering the ninth.
Chattanooga then put the game away behind J.T. Retherford's double to left that scored Cavazos-Galvez, Blake Smith and Jacobs.
Game two of a five-game series in Pensacola is tonight at 8 EDT.
Chris Reed (1-3, 5.02) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Ryan Dennick (1-2, 3.44) scheduled for the Blue Wahoos.
