Gang member shot on Fagan Street
A 126th Athens Park Blood gang member was shot in the abdomen while he was walking in the 4200 block of Fagan Street early Monday morning.
Darrell Armstrong, 26, was taken to a hospital where he remains in serious condition.
He was shot about 2:30 a.m. A vehicle drove away after the shots were fired, according to Chattanooga police.
Armstrong has been involved in gang shootings in the past.
In July, he received a two-year suspended sentence for conspiracy to commit aggravated assault after he and a fellow gang member armed with two assault rifles, an AR-15 and MAK-90, went in a pickup truck to retaliate for the shooting death of 22-year-old JerMichael Richardson.
So far this year, Chattanooga police have investigated 46 shootings resulting in death or injury.

Driver arrested in Florida deaths
A 42-year-old Port St. Lucie, Fla., woman faces four counts of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide after a fiery crash on Interstate 95 last year resulted in the deaths of Demetrius Suggs, 28; Porchsa Suggs; and Mercedes Davis, 7, of Chattanooga.
Ramos was driving her Jeep SUV south the wrong way on northbound section of I-95 when she collided with the Chevy pickup on May 13, 2012. Raineisha Powell, 9, of Miami, also was killed in the collision, according to reports in the Palm Beach Post.
A judge in Martin County, Fla., set a $35,000 bond on each of Ramos' charges, totaling $280,000, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office website.
Rescue personnel work an accident on Interstate 75 southbound.Police investigate accident on I-75
East Ridge Fire and Police are investigating a single-vehicle accident that left two victims trapped, according to a news release.
The vehicle was heading east on Ringgold Road when it veered off the road and collided with an earthen berm, landing on Interstate 75 southbound.
Fire personnel had to stabilize the vehicle to get the male driver and female passenger out of the wreck.
Hiker falls, rescued on Signal Mountain
Emergency responders rescued a young man from a Tennessee state park late Monday afternoon after he slipped and fell.
According to fire and rescue personnel, the 17-year-old was hiking with friends in the Falling Water area on Signal Mountain when he lost his footing and fell into the Blue Hole.
According to Hamilton County EMS spokeswoman Amy Maxwell, it took emergency responders an hour and a half to get him out. Rescue crews finally emerged from the woods with the victim just before 7 p.m. He was taken to Erlanger hospital in an ambulance.
No information on the victim's condition or how far he fell was available at press time.
