Will Morrison has one distinct vision embedded in his memory.

It's from the first time his grandmother tried to teach Morrison and his cousin how to swing a golf club.

"She took the club back and hit him in the knee," said Morrison, a Chattanoogan and construction project manager. "Thinking back, I think she just tapped him."

Morrison, who attended Baylor School and later graduated from Auburn University, shelved his golf clubs for a few years. Then a handful of his current friends enticed him to get back into the game. He and those friends play at least once a month at Moccasin Bend and occasionally at Chattanooga's other area public courses.

Morrison said his goal with golf is to be able to shoot 85 on an regular basis. But he added that his career low is an 87 on the course by the river.

"I like hitting a good drive," Morrison said. "But I've never had an ace."
