Killer film, killer band for MES at BLT

The Mise En Scenesters film club will open its Teens in Trouble Summer Film Series on Saturday, May 25, with a cult classic and a concert.

The band is Nashville-based punk-rockers Cy Barkley & The Way Outsiders.

The movie is 1982's "Class of 1984," a Canadian action thriller about a newly hired music teacher at a troubled inner-city schools. It stars Timothy Van Patten as the leader of the gang of thugs who terrorize the school, and features Michael J. Fox in one of his early roles.

Events begin at 8:30 p.m. at Barking Legs Theater, 1307 Dodds Ave. Admission is $5.

Concessions, including beer, will be available.
