The Harrrison Ruritan Club will hold its ninth annual Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show on Sunday, May 26, at the Tennessee Riverpark, 4301 Amnicola Highway.

Spokesman Jim Holcomb says this is one of the largest shows in the area, with 120 trophies presented in 20-plus classes. "We have even had racing lawnmowers and motorized coffins appear in this show in the past," he says.

Registration takes place from 8 a.m. to noon, and trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m. A church service is scheduled at 11 a.m.

Show participants pay $25 to compete, and goodie bags and dash plates will go to the first 150 registered.

There is no charge for spectators. Food and drink will be available for purchase, and live and recorded music will entertain visitors throughout the day.

Holcomb says the car show is the club's No. 1 fundraiser. Proceeds go to projects in the Harrison/Highway 58 community, including donations to the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department, recreation leagues and Friends of Harrison Bay State Park, as well as college scholarships for graduating seniors.
