Good Deed: Precious toys for the children

Precious toys for the children

St. Barnabas resident Mary Pickett always had collected dolls, stuffed animals and toys. She loved to look at them and hold them. Every conceivable space in her room was filled with her treasures. But when Ms. Mary heard about the needs of the Chambliss Center for Children, a 24-hour child-care agency, she didn’t hesitate. Together with St. Barnabas social worker Melissa Johnson, she boxed up many of her precious toys for the children.

We salute Ms. Mary’s expression of love — a choice and a commitment to others’ true happiness.
