UT Foundation official charged with child porn

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A federal grand jury in Knoxville has indicted an officer of the University of Tennessee Foundation on child pornography charges.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reported a four-count indictment against Bruce O. Downsbrough, the chief operating officer and executive vice president of the foundation, was unsealed Tuesday. The foundation is UT's fundraising arm.

Downsbrough is charged with downloading images in 2008, 2009 and 2012. He was arrested Tuesday.

Documents reveal federal authorities searched Downsbrough's home in November and found 19 digital video disks and well as images on his computer hard drive.

Downsbrough has been on administrative leave from the foundation.
