Commissioner pushes transparency for official spending

Fulfilling one of his campaign promises, Commissioner Marty Haynes today told commissioners during a regularly scheduled agenda meeting he wanted discretionary funds spent by commissioners to be posted on the county's website.

Haynes, the district 3 commissioner, campaigned on having the funds publicly posted in real-time.

He said the changes should be made when the commission passes the upcoming budget.
