An East Tennessee health care product manufacturer plans to hire 200 more workers and invest about $11 million in anticipation of new products and markets, officials said today.

Team Technologies Inc. will grow its Morristown, Tenn., facilities, said Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam.

David Bivens, vice president and chief financial officer of Team Technologies, said that by partnering with strong customers and providing leading edge technology and support, officials are optimistic about new sales and employees.

"We are very happy to be able to bring more jobs to our local area and the U.S. as a whole," he said in a statement.

Morristown Mayor Danny Thomas said Team Technologies is bringing back jobs that had been moved to China, "which is an encouraging sign of their company's desire to bring manufacturing back to the United States."

Team Technologies is a custom contract manufacturer of dental, medical, cosmetic and industrial products. Its corporate headquarters and main production facility is located in Morristown in upper East Tennessee.
