A new exhibit at McMinn County Living Heritage Museum, 522 W. Madison Ave., in Athens, Tenn., showcases photography by Jim Caldwell and the reinterpretations of the works in watercolors by Sandy Brown.

"Lens and Brush: The Visual Textures of East Tennessee" runs through July 15.

"The most interesting aspect of this exhibit is how Sandy is able to take the images in my photographs to a higher sensory level," says Caldwell. Brown says she has always been "fascinated with the common threads found in all art forms."

The museum is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
