Simple act of kindness means so very much
Earlier this year, my wife and I were traveling from Vanderbilt Medical Center, where she had her aortic valve replaced. She was very weak and had to be helped along so as not to fall. We stopped for food and to use the bathroom in Tullahoma. Only then did I realize we should have brought one of our granddaughters or daughters-in-law, for I could not go into the ladies’ bathroom. While waiting for our food, I engaged in a conversation with a lady and explained my predicament. After her order was filled, the lady went up to my wife, introduced herself, and took her into the bathroom. I was so choked up with emotion I found it difficult to express my appreciation, but I will be eternally grateful to her.
