The American Cancer Society's annual "Bark For Life" will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Chattanooga Market.

The event is for humans and canines and features a one-mile walk and special dog-related activities and contests. The walk will take place around the concourse of Finley Stadium, located across the street from the First Tennessee Pavilion, and includes plenty of shade and water.

The registration fee is $25 per dog/human team and includes a bandanna and a T-shirt.

Registration for the walk will be at the market at 11 a.m., with the opening ceremony at 12:15 p.m. The one-mile walk gets under way at 1 p.m., followed by entertainment that includes a musical dog and dog/owner look-alike contests.

Along with Bark for Life, the Chattanooga Market also boasts plenty of fall produce from local and regional farms. Lettuce, squash, kale, bok choy, beans, pumpkins and more are available, as well as locally made cheeses, meats and artisan foods.

The market features more than 100 artists and craftsmen each week selling handmade, local goods. There also will be special pet-friendly booths at this week's market.
