CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. - A suspect shot during a robbery attempt has died.

Officials say two men were involved in the robbery attempt on Post Oak Road in Ringgold. The suspects entered the home through the back. The homeowner fired one time hitting one of the suspects in the neck.

Both suspects did manage to escape, but police located them on Boynton Road. Police called EMS to attend to the suspect who'd been shot. The injured suspect was taken to the hospital where he died.
