Police: 2 Georgia men charged in LSU-Alabama ticket scam

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Police say two Georgia men are accused of selling fake tickets to the LSU-Alabama football game in Tuscaloosa last weekend.

Tuscaloosa police say a man who purchased counterfeit tickets flagged down an officer on the University of Alabama campus hours before game time on Saturday.

The officer located a suspect but didn't have enough evidence for an arrest.

Police say the officer later found a suspect's car, which had counterfeit tickets inside.

Authorities arrested 44-year-old Alfonso Bernard Daniels of Atlanta and 48-year-old Collin Christopher Young of Ellenwood, Ga. Each man is charged with 16 counts of possession of a forged instrument.

The men are jailed in Tuscaloosa with bond set at $240,000 each.

Courts aren't available to show whether either man has a lawyer.
