Crime Stoppers and the Chattanooga Police Department are seeking information regarding a series of auto burglaries in the Brainerd and Hixson areas during the last week.

Although there were no witnesses to the crimes, the suspected thieves have given away their own description by attempting to use stolen debit cards at a Hixson branch of the First Volunteer Bank.

Video footage from the ATM has provided Crime Stoppers with clear footage of the suspected thief's face, as well as the car he was driving. As indicated in the pictures, the suspect using the stolen debit card is a heavy-set African American male with sculpted facial hair, potentially in his late 30s. He is driving a silver or gray SUV.

If you can identify the suspect pictured, Crime Stoppers is asking for your confidential information at 423-698-3333. It could be eligible for a cash reward.
