Dale Buchanan and Associates adds 3

Dale Buchanan and Associates has expanded its Social Security disability law practice with the hiring of three new associates.

Whitney McElroy attended the University Honors Program of the University of Alabama where she received a Presidential Scholarship and was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She graduated with a degree, magna cum laude, in psychology in 2008. McElroy next attended the University of Alabama School of Law.

Doug Curtis graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2001. A native Chattanoogan, he is a graduate of The McCallie School and attended Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. He served as the assistant director of the Chattanooga Food Bank and worked as a reporter with the Chattanooga Free Press.

Laura Mobley grew up in Chattanooga where she attended and graduated from Girls Preparatory School. She is a University of Tennessee, Knoxville, graduate in political science and English literature. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University's Duncan School of Law in 2013.


Neal opens Sterne Agee office

Shane Neal has opened a Sterne Agee Financial Services Inc. office in East Brainerd at CBL Center II.

Neal has been in the financial services industry for 16 years. He concentrates on financial planning, asset allocation and risk management as it relates to clients' overall goals and objectives.

He helps clients focus on goals that are immediate as well as long-term in nature, including college saving, retirement saving, asset preservation, and asset transfer.

He has an extensive financial academic background, having received a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as well as a master's in business administration with a finance concentration from UTC.


Northwestern Mutual appoints 4

Michelle Wright, Chad Fromm, Jared McDaniel and Laura Hessler have been appointed financial representatives by Northwestern Mutual in Chattanooga.

They will join a network of specialists offering a wide array of products and provide expert guidance and innovative solutions for a variety of financial needs and goals.

Hutton taps Elliott for executive VP

Hutton Co. has named Bob Elliott as executive vice president of development and construction, said President Geoff Smith.

Since Elliott took over the reins of Hutton Construction Inc. in October 2011, its revenues have increased nearly 250 percent, the company said. His new position will expand his duties to also include oversight of the Hutton development team.

"Bob's background includes constructing shopping centers for a national construction company, as well as developing shopping centers for a national retail developer," said Smith.

Hutton is a national, full service development, real estate and construction company. Since 1998, Hutton, with the support of Hutton Construction Inc., has developed over 750 retail sites in 44 states.


Epperson named Builder of the Year

Dennis Epperson has been named 2013 Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Tennessee.

He was recognized for many years of service to the building community by his peers. Epperson has been a home builder in Bradley County for 35 years and was licensed in 1988.

He has participated locally with the Ocoee Region Builders Association for many years. Epperson has served in several areas including as president, director and on several committees. He has also participated at the state level and is currently the Southeast area vice president for HBAT.
