3 dead after vehicle drives off Grand Lake bluff in Oklahoma

GROVE, Okla. - Three men have died after their vehicle careened 80 feet down a rocky bluff and plunged into the frigid water of Grand Lake.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Grand River Dam Authority divers pulled the body of 24-year-old Michael John McKinney of Brookings, Ore., through a rear window of the vehicle on Friday.

The Tulsa World reports that the other victims -- 22-year-old Kyley A. Collins and 23-year-old Jake R. Olsen, both of Grove -- were identified Saturday.

Authorities think the driver failed to navigate a curve on a Delaware County roadway north of Grove and plummeted down the cliff. The GRDA used a dive team and sonar equipment to locate the vehicle.

The time of the accident is unknown, but authorities believe it happened about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
