A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run on Highway 153 Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Officers found 44-year-old Tyrone Lee O'Bryant dead in the southbound lane when they arrived around 4 a.m.

He was attempting to cross the highway at 5111 Highway 153 when he was struck, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing.
